Jekaterina Kuzmina has recently obtained an MSc degree in European Politics and External Relations from the University of Amsterdam specialising on the European Neighbourhood Policy. She has written a Master’s thesis on the EU’s integration policies in Ukraine and how the EU has been assisting the country in its ongoing reform process. Before that, Jekaterina studied at the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK, and the Free University of Berlin, where she completed her BA degree. In her research, Jekaterina has focused on the ethnic conflicts in the EU’s eastern neighbourhood and the role of the countries’ civil society forces in managing/ resolving protracted conflicts. Jekaterina is an ambitious and dedicated person, who believes that civic responsibility, self-initiative, and non-violent communication are the cornerstone in resolving conflicts.
